A pair of TUF Brazil 4 fighters will get a chance to compete at UFC 191.
Nazareno Malegarie and Joaquim Silva, who lost in the lightweight semifinals of the Brazilian version of the reality show in 2015, are set to meet on Sept. 5 in Las Vegas, the promotion announced following a report by Combate.
Malegarie (23-3), a former Bellator featherweight, found success dropping to 135 pounds after leaving the promotion, but moved up to 155 pounds to compete on TUF Brazil 4. Born in Argentina, “El Tigre” earned 15 of his 23 wins via submission.
Undefeated Silva (7-0) won all of his professional fights in the first round. During his run on the UFC reality show, “Netto BJJ” went past the opening round against Carlos Costa and Erick da Silva, winning via TKO and decision, respectively, before tapping to season finalist Glaico Franca.
Headlined by flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson against John Dodson, UFC 191 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
