After Colby Covington defeated Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 225 this past weekend (Sat., June 9, 2018) in Chicago to claim the interim Welterweight title, “Chaos” found himself in another battle backstage.
During his post-fight interview with the UFC on FOX crew, Colby and former Middleweight champion Michael Bisping — who was in studio in Los Angeles — embarked on a back-and-forth trash talk battle for the ages (see it again here).
A few days removed from the fight (and interview), Covington took to The MMA Hour to slam the ex-champion for his unprofessional interview and even threatened him with some physical violence.
“He’s an unprofessional, one-eyed twerp. Every time UFC brings me out I am always professional and I am always on time, make weight and there are never any issues with Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington. I always do the right things,” he said.
“What he did on Saturday night was a complete joke. That was my time, my moment and he was trying to steal my spotlight. He knew my light was so bright, and usually he can’t see out of that one eye, but my spotlight was so bright that he couldn’t help to jump in.”

Covington — who brands himself a proud American determined to make Welterweight great again and be more like President Trump — says he is baffled by Bisping’s boldness of messing with a supporter of red, white and blue, as it didn’t work out too well with him previously.
“The thing is, it’s crazy he forgot what happened from American forefather Dan Henderson. You would think he would’ve got humbled from the last time he messed around with the red, white and blue. I will come across that pond and break that little one-eyed nerd’s face.”
Bisping actually defeated “Hendo” in their last fight at UFC 204, but it’s safe to assume “Chaos” was referring to this.
For now, Covington has his sights set on a title unification bout against welterweight champion and former American Top Team (ATT) training partner Tyron Woodley, which could happen sooner, rather than later.
