Khaos Williams says he won’t let the hype surrounding him get to his head following his UFC Vegas 14 win.

It’s unsurprising that Khaos Williams has received a lot of attention following his Performance of the Night winning KO at UFC Vegas 14, but “The Oxfighter” has said he won’t let the hype get to his head.

Williams (10-1) knocked out Abdul Razak Alhassan in just 30-seconds in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 14 this past weekend. The win was Williams’ second in the UFC, with the other being another KO in just 27-seconds back at UFC 247 in February.

Talking after his win over Alhassan, Williams explained that despite the hype around him he has a long way to go in his UFC career.

“One thing about me is I never get comfortable, you know?” Williams said. “I never get comfortable. No matter what I do, I got to keep outdoing myself. I got to continue to keep grinding. … I don’t even praise my work too long. I just keep moving forward. This moment’s happening right now, but I still got a long way to go.” (Transcription via MMA Junkie)

Williams said that after his recent win UFC president Dana White told him it was “one of the greatest knockouts he’s ever seen.” The 26-year-old fought on the Michigan circuit and for King of the Cage before being picked up by the UFC at the beginning of this year.

“I feel like I can knock anybody out, you know?” he said. “I mean, it’s a fight. If you hit someone hard enough, they might be able to knock me out. Who knows? But at the end of the day, we’re all human beings, and like I said before, metaphorically speaking nobody is bulletproof. You hit me the hard way, I hit you the hard way, you go down.”
