An undisclosed injury to UFC sophomore Mike Stumpf has forced the Illinois fighter off the upcoming UFC 143 card. Replacing him at the Vegas event will be newcomer Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson (5-0) who is now set to take on Justin ‘Fast Eddy’ Edwards (7-2) at the February event.
Officials with the promotion announced the change on Tuesday via Twitter (@ufc).

UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit is expected to take place on February 4, 2012 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
‘Wonderboy’ Thompson (pictured) is 5-0 in his MMA, and an incredible 57-0 as a kickboxer. The fighter turned to mma after a knee injury and has earned two wins by (T)KO, one by submission, and two by decision sine February 2010.
Edwards is 1-2 since joining the UFC in June of last year. The former member of Team dos Santos on “The Ultimate Fighter” season 13 made his debut at the shows Finale, losing a split decision and would then go on to win by decision at UFN 25 followed by a decision loss at UFC 138 to John Maguire in November.
