Longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight contender, Nick Diaz, was arrested last week in Las Vegas on charges of domestic violence after allegedly getting into a physical altercation in “Sin City.”
The embattled striker has since been released from custody and will be afforded due process while the promotion conducts its own investigation into the charges. That means Diaz will more than likely remain sidelined for the better part — if not all — of 2018.
Last week’s hiccup marks yet another setback for the former Strikeforce welterweight champion, who was expected to make his Octagon return after settling his differences with United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) earlier this month (details).
This latest mugshot is a far cry from the photo we distributed back in 2014 (see it), when the wily Stockton slugger was pulled over for DUI. Maybe he was just in pain from that exploding elbow.
