Nik Lentz to BJ Penn: ‘You’ve made yourself a walking punchline’

UFC featherweight Nik Lentz rips on BJ Penn, after the latter’s forgettable performance against Dennis Siver over the weekend.

Two-division UFC world champion B.J. Penn suffered his fifth straight loss on Saturday night at the UFC’s Oklahoma City event. “The Prodigy”, who was coming off a beating against Yair Rodriguez last January in Phoenix, was outpointed this time around by fellow ageing fighter Dennis Siver.

Calls for Penn’s retirement have been rampant since after the Rodriguez fight. Many have even questioned why he decided to come out of retirement in the first place. But former rival Nik Lentz apparently saw all of it coming, and even claimed that he “warned” Penn about dropping down to 145-pounds.

How ya feelin?
Your ol’ pal Lentzy-Boy checkin’ in…..
Far be it from me to put the boot in while you’re wallowin’ in th’gutter…

Oh; and the beatings?

Remember I told y’about the beatings you were gonna get?

— Nik Lentz (@NikLentz) June 27, 2017

See how your refusal to accept reality in a desperate attempt to maintain your image has systematically dismantled your legacy?

— Nik Lentz (@NikLentz) June 27, 2017

You’ve made yourself a

JOKE, a
WALKING
PUNCHLINE.

— Nik Lentz (@NikLentz) June 27, 2017

Y’IDIOT

After coming out of his 2014 retirement, Penn went on to engage in a war of words with Lentz in late 2015. After scathing poems were written and threats from Penn to “use Lentz as a punching bag to get some ring rust out” were thrown, a fight between the two men never materialized.
