Jake Shields plans to lose three or four pounds of muscle for his next fight in the UFC.

Shields was forced to cut 14 pounds to make weight for his fight against Martin Kampmann this past Saturday at UFC 121, and he admittedly ran low on gas after the first round.

With his lesson learned and a victory in the books, Shields now looks ahead to December’s Georges St-Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck fight. And Shields, who’s been promised the next title shot, is pulling for the champ.
