Time heals all wounds and apparently, all visa issues.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight title contender, Volkan Oezdemir, is still booked to throw hands against ex-division kingpin, Mauricio Run, despite visa issues that canceled their original booking at UFC Chile.

More on that mess here.

Their bout has since been moved to the UFC Fight Night 134 main event, recently made official for Sun., July 22, 2018, inside Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany. The main card is likely to air on FOX Sports 1 with “Prelims” on UFC Fight Pass.

Oezdemir (15-2) is coming off a technical knockout loss to Daniel Cormier at UFC 220 this past January, where he failed to win the 205-pound strap from “DC” after getting stopped in the second round. The defeat was “No Time’s” first inside the Octagon and just the second overall in his MMA career.

Rua (25-10), meanwhile, is enjoying a fairly good run as of late, winning three in a row against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Corey Anderson and Gian Villante. “Shogun” hasn’t competed in over a year but is undoubtedly ready to get back on the horse against one of the hardest-hitting 205-pound fighters in the world.

Stay tuned for more UFC Hamburg fight card announcements in the coming weeks.
