Four UFC fighters will sit out for a few months after testing positive for banned substances.
Four UFC fighters were forced to the sidelines after they tested positive for banned substances. On Thursday, the Nevada Athletic Commission finalized the suspensions of Jamahal Hill, Luis Peña, Tim Elliott, and Deron Winn.
Per ESPN, Hill, Peña and Elliott all tested positive for cannabis, while Winn popped for amphetamines.
Peña and Elliott both received a reduced ban of four and a half months and got fined 15% of their show money. Their sanctions were lessened because both fights were taken on short notice.
Elliott’s suspension was for his May 30th fight against Brandon Royval, which he took on 12 days’ notice. Peña’s sanction was for his June 27th fight against Khama Worthy, which he took 18 days’ notice.
Hill, meanwhile, got a six-month suspension, along with the same fine as Peña and Elliott. His first-round TKO win over Klidson Abreu was also overturned to a No Contest.
Both Elliott and Hill issued respective statements to defend themselves.

“Violent Bob Ross,” on the other hand, owned up to his mistake and gave a PSA.

As for Winn, he will sit out for the next nine months for testing positive after his UFC 248 loss against Gerald Meerschaert. He will also need to pay a $1,800 fine.
