This is the worst injury in UFC … this weekend.

Welterweight prospect Ramiz Brahimaj came up short in his Octagon debut earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 7, 2020) at UFC Vegas 13 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, losing to veteran Max Griffin via third-round TKO (referee stoppage).

Brahimaj was down on the scorecards entering the final round and started to unload his hands a little more. Griffin was there to counter along the cage and ended up clipping Brahimaj on the ear with an elbow. The two kept fighting but Brahimaj’s ear was barely attached to his head. It was pretty gnarly and eventually forced the referee stoppage, as well as a haunting reaction by Griffin.

Check out the injury below:

Brahimaj, 27, was expected to make his Octagon debut much sooner than tonight, but required surgery for a tumor behind his right eye. The submission specialist will now have to nurse another gruesome injury before stepping back inside of the cage.
