Peep the betting odds for UFC Vegas 40, where Aspen Ladd is favored over Norma Dumont in the main event.
UFC Vegas 40 is upon us with a makeshift main event in the women’s featherweight division. Replacing Holly Holm, the UFC’s #3 ranked bantamweight, Aspen Ladd, will step up to face a 145-pounder, who has also competed at 135-pounds, Norma Dumont. Bloody Elbow is here to drop the betting lines for this matchup, as well as the rest of the UFC Vegas 40 lineup.
The bookies have sided with the slightly more seasoned Ladd here, but not by a great deal. She is currently being offered up as a -130 betting favorite, with a successful $100 bet returning a total of $176.92. As for Dumont, she is clocking in not too far behind with a small underdog value of +110. A $100 gamble on Norma stands to make $210 altogether.
It’s been awhile since Aspen has competed, and she just horribly botched a weight cut that put her own health in jeopardy — and got her fight with Macy Chiasson cancelled. She will be giving up some size here, and against someone who is willing to stand in the pocket and exchange combinations. Ladd has surely proven more thus far in her career, but she will likely have her hands full with Norma.
Now let’s take a look at some of the prop bets for this UFC Vegas 40 featured fight. We’ve got a close line for whether or not this one will reach the scorecards. ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ is being offered up at -120, and ‘Fight goes to decision’ is almost at the same value at -110. The oddsmakers label Aspen as more likely than Norma to find a finish. There’s ‘Ladd wins inside distance’ at around +165, and then we have ‘Dumont wins inside distance’ at a much larger line of +350.
