A light heavyweight matchup between two top-ten fighters is being setup for the UFC’s ESPN card in London this March.

A light heavyweight matchup between two top ten fighters is being slated for the UFC’s annual London event. Several reports have claimed that a bout between Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes will likely be part of the ESPN+ card this March.

The news was first reported by BJPenn.com, and was later confirmed by MMAjunkie through close sources.

Currently situated at the number five spot in the official rankings, Oezdemir gained major recognition following two emphatic knockout wins in 2017. He was then granted a title shot against Daniel Cormier in January 2018, and lost via second-round TKO. It was followed by a third-round submission loss to rising contender Anthony Smith in October.

The number eight-ranked Reyes, on the other hand, is currently undefeated with a 4-0 record in the UFC. He last fought at UFC 229 in October, where he picked up an impressive win over Ovince Saint Preux via unanimous decision.

The UFC’s London card for 2019 will take place on March 16th at the O2 Arena.
