Dutch heavyweight Alistair Overeem (34-11) earned his third title Friday night in Japan. He faced former UFC fighter Todd Duffee at the New Year’s Eve Dynamite!! 2010 event for the DREAM interim heavyweight title.

It took “The Demolition Man” just 19 seconds to crush his opponent with a knockout punch to the chin in the first round.

Duffee came out swinging, forcing Overeem to cover up but it was the Dutch fighter who landed a knee to the midsection that opened things up. The knee bowled Duffee over letting Overeem capitalize with a couple of powerful strikes as the former UFC fighter left his head exposed. A strong right hand to the side of Duffee’s head left him stunned but a quick left from Overeem put him to the mat finishing the fight at 19 seconds.

“This year I won three world titles. Strikeforce, then K-1, and now Dream. And I promise you all, I’m going to keep giving you great fights.”

Overeem now carries three world titles, laying claim to the Strikeforce heavyweight, K-1 WGP , and the DREAM heavyweight titles.
