It took a while, but Pat Healy finally has an opponent for Strikeforce’s swan song.

“Bam Bam” will meet undefeated prospect Kurt Holobaugh (9-0) on the Jan. 12 Strikeforce card in Oklahoma City, OK, according to sources close to the fight. MMAWeekly.com first reported the booking Wednesday.

Healy draws Holobaugh after he was first scheduled to meet champion Gilbert Melendez and then Jorge Masvidal on the card. Both lightweights pulled out of the bout due to respective injuries. In fact, a Healy vs. Melendez fight has been scrapped twice in recent months, as they were initially supposed to fight on Sept. 29 before a Melendez shoulder injury sidelined the champion.

The MMA veteran Healy (28-16) has won his last five fights in a row. He most recently defeated Mizuto Hirota via unanimous decision in July.

Holobaugh, 26, is 9-0 after going 8-0 in his amateur career. He made headlines earlier this year when he fought (and eventually won) on his wedding day.

The lightweight fight is expected to air on the Showtime Extreme portion of the card, which will take place at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
