Former UFC middleweight contender Patrick “The Predator” Côté (13-7) has been released by the UFC following a loss to Tom Lawlor at last weekends UFC 121 event.
Côté made the announcement on Wednesday via Twitter.
“The Predator” suffered his third straight defeat beginning with his loss to UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva. Côté would suffer a serious knee injury that prevented him from continuing on against Silva, which would see him sidelined for a year-and-a-half.
On his return, Côté would end up losing to Alan Belcher via rear-naked-choke at UFC 113 and dropping a unanimous decision to Lawlor.
