Logan Paul denies he was KO’d during his recent exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather

Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather collaborated on a box office hit earlier this month with an exhibition bout that may have sold upwards of a million pay-per-views. There was no winner scored after eight rounds of boxing. But regardless of the outcome, both won out over the public, as they laughed their way to the bank.

Despite the bout being a rather dull affair with neither boxer looking in danger of being KO’d, some internet users are calling shenanigans on the whole thing. One particular moment from the fight, which in truth is a mundane clinch, has been clipped and presented to appear as though Paul was knocked out and Mayweather caught and carried him until he could continue.

Paul recently took to Instagram to slam those claims.

“Yo, I’m seeing this narrative going around that there’s one part of the fight where Floyd punched me and I kind of leaned on him a little bit and it looks like I kinda went limp,” Paul said (per New York Post). “And people are trying to spin it and say he knocked me out and caught me and kept me up to keep the fight going till the eighth round.

“Shut the f–k up, like just shut the f–k up, like stop trying to discredit what happened last night.”

“Make no mistake, he got a lot of good punches in,” continued Paul. “There’s a couple photos, I got f–ked up a couple shots. I didn’t know my face could make that shape. But never rocked, never blacked out, never obviously got knocked out. He never helped me up. He tried to take me out and he couldn’t. It was great.”

Paul remains an 0-1 pro boxer. His lone pro fight was a split decision loss to fellow YouTuber KSI in 2019. Previous to that he and KSI fought to a draw in an exhibition bout.

On Instagram Paul claimed he will fight again and then vowed to score a finish. “My next fight I will knock my opponent out brutal & cold. I promise.”
