Paulo Costa is game to fight Marvin Vettori.

Paulo Costa appears to have settled his differences with the UFC and would like a comeback fight against top-five middleweight Marvin Vettori, who called out ‘Borrachinha’ following his decision loss to Israel Adesanya at UFC 263 this past weekend.

“I could fight this Moron if he show to fight like that,” Costa wrote in response to Vettori on Monday.

Vettori suffered a unanimous decision loss to Adesanya in the UFC 263 main event but was shocked by the official scoring. All three judges scored the bout 50-45 in favor of Adesanya but Vettori believes he put up a much better fight than the scorecards imply, claiming that he got the better of ‘The Last Stylebender’ in some of the striking exchanges.

“I think I did a lot of good things,” Vettori told BT Sport after the fight. “I was having a lot of success with the boxing exchanges. Story of this fight was the leg kick, I guess. I went back and I talked to my coaches, I think the 50-45 was definitely not the right decision but it is what is.”

Both Costa and Vettori have fallen to Adesanya, with the former having suffered a devastating TKO loss at UFC 253 and Vettori unable to topple the middleweight champ on two separate occasions. With both men itching to get back into title contention, this is the fight that makes sense. Don’t be surprised to see the UFC announce this matchup in the next couple of months.
