Over the last few months, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight and Welterweight champion, B.J. Penn, has been involved in two street fights on the streets of Hawaii.

Relive them here and here.

Despite this, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will go ahead and allow “The Prodigy” to fight inside the Octagon, as a proposed fight against Nik Lentz is still a go. But it won’t happen in October as originally planned, as TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter got it straight from the horse’s mouth that “Baby J” and “The Carny” will likely face off in November.

UFC president Dana White has stated that Penn’s next fight will be his last inside the Octagon win lose, or draw. Some, though, would’ve hoped that the promotion would part ways with Penn after suffering seven straight defeats.

And when you couple that with Penn’s out-of-the-cage troubles, one would expect UFC to at least hit the pause button on Penn’s farewell fight. But just like Lentz predicted, it seems UFC is okay with ignoring his bar brawls.

For his part, Nik offered to help Penn get away from Hawaii and stay with him in Florida regardless if they have to punch each other in the face later this year. At the end of the day, “Carny” is adamant he wants to help B.J. from spiraling further.

When you look at UFC’s calendar of events, there are three cards scheduled in November; UFC 244 on Nov. 2 in New York, UFC Fight Night 163 on Nov. 9 in Moscow, Russia, as well as as UFC Fight Night 164 on Nov. 16 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Which event this proposed showdown lands on, remains to be seen.
