Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will pit an ex-women’s champion against a former title contender when Germaine de Randamie battles Raquel Pennington at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 139 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, scheduled for Sat., Nov. 10, 2018 inside Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
De Randamie (7-3) has not been seen since her championship win over Holly Holm at UFC 208 back in early 2017. While that belt was earned at featherweight, the “Iron Lady” opted to surrender her strap and return to the bantamweight division.
I guess it beats getting squashed by Cyborg.
Pennington (9-6) was last seen trying to capture the crown from reigning 135-pound queen pin Amanda NUnes. After five-rounds of action, “Rocky” limped out of the Jeunesse Arena the owner of a technical knockout loss.
UFC Fight Night 139 will be headlined by the featherweight fracas pitting Frankie Edgar against Chan Sung Jung. Elsewhere on the FOX Sports 1 fight card, Donald Cerrone and Mike Perry hook ‘em up for welterweight bragging rights.
