Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight headline machine Mike Perry will not be fighting at the UFC 255 pay-per-view (PPV) event next month in Las Vegas, but not because of “Platinum’s” never-ending personal problems.
It seems Robbie Lawler has been injured and forced to withdraw.
“So Lawler pulled out due to an injury,” Perry wrote on Twitter. “Looking for a replacement. I asked for Khamzat Chimaev and we can do it at middleweight. When Darren Till loses to Jack Hermansson let me get that.”
Perry and Till have been warring on social media for the past year though at this point, “Platinum” would be likely need to move up to middleweight where “The Gorilla” is currently ranked No. 6 in the division.
In addition, Chimaev is already booked to throw down against Leon Edwards in December, so Perry will have to look elsewhere for a replacement. Considering ”Platinum” is unranked at 170 pounds, he may not be in a position to call his shots.
