Shhhh! Don’t tell Dan Hardy!

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor, who also held the strap at 145 pounds, is known for wearing expensive fur coats to some of his combat sports press conferences (like this one).

Now it seems the animals want them back.

That’s according to Elisa Allen, Director of People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), who put McGregor on blast by way of social media after writing an open letter about his participation in such horrific crimes like “anal electrocution” (seriously).

“Fur is dead,” Allen wrote. “And since Ireland announced last week that it’s phasing out fur farming, that message has never been clearer. So what do you say? Will you help us knock out cruelty to animals by swearing off fur and donating your coats?”

McGregor has yet to respond.

The “Notorious” mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter has fought sporadically over the past couple of years and seems content to focus solely on his record-setting whiskey business, which makes me wonder if his next public call out will come from M.A.D.D.
