A Lightweight bout between Anthony Pettis and Michael Chiesa has been rebooked to go down at the upcoming UFC 226 pay-per-view (PPV) event on July 7, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada according to MMA FIghting’s Ariel Helwani.

The 155-pound scrap was initially set to go down at UFC 223 last month before Chiesa was bounced from the fight two days prior due to facial lacerations he suffered after Conor McGregor went crazy and threw a dolly through a bus window in an attempt to get at Khabib Nurmagomedov.

“Maverick” has since filed a police complaint against “Notorious,” which only adds to the Irishman’s legal troubles.

Pettis was last seen getting rocked and socked by Dustin Poirier in his last outing last November. Meanwhile, Chiesa hasn’t competed since getting choked out by Kevin Lee earlier this year.

UFC 226 is set to be headlined by a Heavyweight title fight that will see Stipe Miocic defend his strap against current Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. In the co-main event, Max Holloway will put his Featherweight title on the line against Brian Ortega. Plus, Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis will throw hands in a pivotal 265-pound showdown, while Gokhan Saki faces Khalil Rountree in main card action.
