It looks like the return of “The Karate Hottie” will have to be delayed once again after she suffered a broken finger earlier this week.

Michelle Waterson made her UFC debut more than a year ago, but that’s doubled as her only fight in the Octagon up to this point. She was scheduled to face Tecia Torres at UFC 194 before pulling out with injury, and was in line to face Aisling Daly next month at UFC Hamburg. Unfortunately, Daly had to withdraw from the event, leaving Waterson without an opponent, but at least she was still set to remain on the September 3rd card.

As of Thursday, it looks as if Waterson will have to wait even longer for her 2nd UFC appearance, as she suffered a broken finger which most likely rules her out of UFC Hamburg. “The Karate Hottie” posted the x-ray on her official Instagram account.

In case the embed doesn’t work for some reason, the caption reads:

FU%* ……….. so this happened on Thursday morning. The fact that I’m so close to the fight and this shit happened just really pisses me off. I know my will is being tested, and I will push forward. My fight has definitely not been fought in the cage this last year, trust me when I say I will be better for it all……. but Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. That is all

Waterson (13-4) defeated Angela Magana via 3rd round rear-naked choke on the main card of The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale, which marked her return to strawweight after a three-year stretch at 105 lbs. She won the Invicta FC atomweight belt in 2013 against Jessica Penne, successfully defended against Yasuko Tamada, before losing the title to Herica Tiburcio in her final Invicta FC fight.

The UFC has not officially announced that Waterson is off Fight Night Hamburg, which is headlined by heavyweights Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett.
