Vitor Belfort has somehow transformed his body into another physical wrecking machine ahead of his return to the cage.

Belfort, 43, is expected to make his awaited ONE Championship debut later this year after signing on with the Singapore-based MMA promotion back in 2019. It will be the first time fight fans get to see the former UFC champion compete since announcing his retirement from MMA back in 2018.

Leading into his comeback fight Belfort is seemingly back in the gym and sculpting himself into the old “Phenom.” MMA journalist John Hyon Ko posted the below image of Belfort earlier this week (the tweet has since been deleted). The veteran fighter is looking jacked beyond belief.

Belfort was last seen getting knocked out by a Lyoto Machida front kick back at UFC 224. The former UFC light heavyweight champion tallied a 8-6 (1 NC) record during his second stint with the promotion from 2009-2018 while failing on three separate title shots. Over his last five bouts “Phenom” has been knocked out four total times, although his loss to Kelvin Gastelum in 2017 was overturned to a no contest after Gastelum popped for marijuana.

While Belfort is a shell of his former shelf the ultra-popular Brazilian fighter still brings some excitement to an organization like ONE Championship. And if Belfort’s new physique in 2020 is any indication of things to come the fight game may be getting back one of the most vicious strikers of all time.

What do you think of Belfort’s most recent transformation?

Let’s hear it!
