Devin Clark suffered more than just a loss last night (Sat., Sept. 18, 2021) at UFC Vegas 37 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he dropped a unanimous decision to light heavyweight contender Ion Cutelaba.
The two fighters met in the co-main event of the evening and the bad blood was high. Clark came out aggressive and looked to be in control of the fight. Cutelaba quickly flipped the script, scored a key knockdown, and utilized his ground game to bash Clark’s head into the canvas. During the attacks, “Hulk” ended up smashing in Smith’s bottom teeth. Smith had to defer to his corner entering the third round to see if he should continue. The fight did go on, but Cutelaba kept busy to score the dominant finish.

We’ve seen some gnarly teeth injuries in the past — including UFC Vegas 37’s main event winner Anthony Smith’s brutal incident — but Clark’s injury last night may take the cake. Hopefully he can find a dentist open on the weekend.
