Niko Price’s majority draw with Donald Cerrone has been overturned to a no-contest.
For the second time in his UFC career, Niko Price has been suspended for a positive marijuana test.
Traces of marijuana were found in Price’s drug test stemming back from his former fight with Donald Cerrone on Sept. 19. Price, 31, was fined $8,500 and $145.36 in prosecution fees, and suspended six months.
Originally scored a majority draw, the result of Price’s fight with Cerrone has been changed to a no-contest by the Nevada Athletic Commission. Price’s suspension is active from Sept. 19, so he will be eligible to fight again on Mar. 19, 2021. He later tweeted this after the punishment was handed down.
Thank you all for the kind words. I’ll be back and ready to throw down right away after this suspension in march/April @ufc @seanshelby #ufc

Nevada also recently sanctioned Trevin Jones and Kevin Croom for their own marijuana violations, nullifying their victories. While the state has actually legalized marijuana, Nevada still prohibits athletes from testing above a certain threshold.
It’s not the first time Price has tested positive for marijuana. “The Hybrid” knocked out Alex Morono in his second UFC fight back in February 2017, but that result was again overturned for a positive marijuana test.
Price was only suspended for 90 days and fined $1,000 by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) for the test failure.
