The Canadian based Colloseo Championship Fighting promotion appears to have it’s upcoming July CCF Bushido card almost complete, with just one fighter left without an opponent according to MMA-Japan.com.

What makes the Edmonton, Alberta based promotion of interest is the fact that they will be using the PrideFC rules for this July event. Some rules include head stomps and kicks to a downed opponent, but does not allow the use of elbows.

The CCF promotion has sanctioned the event through the International Combative Sports Association (ICSA), which is not associated with the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC) who follow the Unified Rules of mixed martial arts.

The event is set to take place on July 23, 2011 at the Eagle River Casino and Travel Plaza, in Whitecourt, Alberta, Canada, which is just outside of the city of Edmonton.

Headlining the event is a heavyweight bout between UFC vet Gilbert ‘The Hurricane’ Yvel vs. KOTC vet, and multiple promotion champ, Tony ‘Kryptonite’ Lopez. Also featured in the co-main event is a lightweight bout between former MFC champ Antonio ‘Mandingo’ McKee who meets (unconfirmed) CCF champ Jorge Filo Brito.

The event will air on a pay per view stream via ustream.com (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ccf-bushido)
