This is UFC 238 in a few short tweets.
UFC 238 is in the books, and it saw Henry Cejudo and Valentina Shevchenko earn spectacular wins in their respective title bouts. The “people’s main event” in Tony Ferguson vs Donald Cerrone also had a bit of an anti-climatic end.
Here’s a quick twitter thread with a brief recap and analysis of the event, that’s fitting for people’s social media era attention spans:
IVANOV DECISIONS TUIVASA
PROS: I guess they traded leather for most of the three rounds? ???
CONS: That was just way too heavyweight for my taste.

YAN DECISIONS RIVERA
PROS: That was fun. Yan’s rise in the BW division has been great to watch. Rivera had his moments, even badly hurt his leg, but Yan was able to land massive shots and drop him twice to take the win.
CONS: Not much really.

COWBOY’S EYE BALLOONS, LOSES TO FERGUSON
PROS: They were tied 1-1, and it was starting to look as good as advertised.
CONS: Premature, anticlimactic ending after Cerrone blew his nose and his eye swelled up badly. Ferguson’s punch after the bell was pretty blatant too.

SHEVCHENKO BRUTALLY KO’D EYE
PROS: That was a perfectly placed head kick that put Eye out cold. It was beautifully set up by hard body kicks earlier on too.
CONS: Unless you’re Eye, none.

CEJUDO TKOs MORAES, WINS 2ND UFC BELT
PROS: Moraes busted him up early, looked so fast even against a flyweight. Impressive adjustments and a great comeback though led to Cejudo now having gold in TWO UFC divisions…Oh and did you know that he also has Olympic gold?
CONS: None!

#UFC238 OVERALL:
PROS: Apart from heavyweights being heavyweights, main card was pretty damn good. Despite him constantly being cringey outside the cage, Cejudo truly shines inside it
CONS: Cejudo will surely have a media tour and make everyone cringe more than Cowboy’s eye did
