Paige VanZant will make her awaited return to combat sports later tonight (Sat., May 25, 2024) at Misfits Boxing 15 live on DAZN PPV from Houston, Tex., as the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) star steps inside of the boxing ring to square off with social media sensation Elle Brooke.
VanZant, who turned 30 earlier this year, has been making a killing on social media and OnlyFans since departing from UFC back in 2020. She tried her luck as a bareknuckle boxer along the way, but “12 Gauge” found more lucrative success posting half-naked, seductive photos on the internet. Can you blame her?
On Saturday, VanZant will put her social media aspirations aside to try to return to fighting in dramatic fashion. Brooke isn’t some sort of high-level fighter that’s going to overwhelm VanZant from the opening bell, but she is 4-1 as a boxer and currently holds the Misfits Boxing women’s title. In other words, Brooke is no pushover.
During Thursday’s press conference (replay HERE), VanZant revealed that she is in incredible shape for her return to combat sports and is eager to show off her pure boxing. VanZant was better known for her grappling skills as a member of the UFC roster, but she’s still banking on a finish over Brooke to claim the Misfits belt.
“No, I definitely don’t anticipate this going the full five (rounds),” said VanZant.
“The way that I’ve prepared, I’ve dedicated the last three years to straight boxing, bare-knuckle boxing prior to this, but I’m really excited to do one with the gloves on and show everyone how much of my life I’ve dedicated to straight boxing,” she added.
Do you agree? Will VanZant return after a three-year hiatus to stop Brooke and steal the show?
Sound off!
