Rafael Cavalcante TKO’d Dan Konecke at World Fight Tour – Road to Bellator.

Away from fighting since an unanimous decision loss to Ovince Saint Preux in February 2016, Rafael Cavalcante had not won a fight since his submission via strikes victory over Igor Pokrajac in November 2013. However, the 37-year-old turned it all around when he met Dan Konecke at World Fight Tour – Road to Bellator, a feeder league for Bellator.

The win came in the first round with some ground and pound following a knockdown by Cavalcante. The win earned Feijao a Bellator contract, who’ll join fellow UFC veterans such as champion Ryan Bader and Phil Davis on the light heavyweight Bellator roster.

Here’s the full fight.

Rafael Cavalcante ended his UFC run with a 1-4 record, dropping bouts to Ryan Bader, Thiago Silva, Patrick Cummins. His sole win came againstPokrajac. He is also the only man to ever beat middleweight contender Yoel Romero, when they belonged to Scott Coker’s former organization, Strikeforce.
