A lightweight bout looks set for the Ultimate Fighting Championships first event on FX, as Brazilian fighter Charles ‘Tractor’ Oliveira (14-5) announced he’d be fighting newcomer Reza ‘Mad Dog’ Medadi (11-2) at the January event via Twitter (@RafaelloTractor).

UFC on FX 1 (aka UFC Fight Night 26) is set to take place on January 20th at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The event is headlined by a lightweight match between Jim Miller vs. Melvin Guillard.
Oliveira has dropped two straight after making his return to the UFC. ‘Tractor’ suffered a TKO defeat at the hands of Yves Edwards this past October at the UFC Live: Cruz vs. Johnson event, while losing by submission to Gleison Tibau at UFC 130 in May. The bout versus Tibau marked Oliveira’s return to the UFC after his dismissal in March 2010. The Brazilian earned four straight victories to fight his way back into the Octagon.
Madadi, who is of Swedish-Iranian descent, is riding a six fight win streak and recently captures the Swedish based Superior Challenge lightweight title. That bout took place in April over former UFC fighter Rich Clementi. Madadi also owns wins over well known names such as Carlo Prater and Junie Browning in that six-fight span.
