Next week’s UFC on ESPN+ even in Brooklyn, NY has had multiple fighters withdraw, with Randy Brown as the latest one.
The UFC has gone into overtime in order to keep its 13-fight lineup in place for its January 19th Fight Night show in Brooklyn, New York. Over the past few days, three fighters have withdrawn from the card, with the latest one coming courtesy of Randy Brown.
Brown confirmed a FloCombat report that he’ll be unable to fight Chance Rencountre on the preliminary card opener at Barclays Center, but it’s not due to injury.

The New York native is coming off a KO loss to Niko Price in July, when Price stopped him with hammerfists from the bottom. He has fought three times in New York since the state legalized pro MMA in 2016, and he’s won two of those bouts, but he’ll have to wait for his fourth one.
According to MMAjunkie, Brown (10-3) has since been replaced by Dwight Grant (8-2), who lost to Zak Ottow at UFC on FOX 31 last month. Rencountre (12-3) is looking for his first win inside the Octagon, having dropped a decision to Belal Muhammad in his debut.
The UFC also swapped in Karl Roberson to face Glover Teixeira after Ion Cutelaba pulled out with an injury, while newcomer Mario Bautista fills in for the injured John Lineker against Cory Sandhagen.
UFC Brooklyn is headlined by a flyweight title defense featuring champion Henry Cejudo against bantamweight king T.J. Dillashaw.
