Press Release – LOS ANGELES, CA – FUEL TV airs “UFC From All Angles: Rashad Evans” tonight, Wednesday, September 18 at 11:00 PM ET/8:00 PM PT. Host Karyn Bryant takes you behind the scenes with one of the UFC’s biggest names, former Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans, to discuss all things inside the Octagon and out.

The show begins with Bryant sitting down with Evans talking about the key points in his career and what he’s learned along the way. Through the show, Evans discusses turning points such as being scared before his fight with Chuck Liddell and seeking advice from Randy Couture, who told him to “make friends with the worst outcome.” “Once I made friends with the outcome, once I made friends with the fact that I might go out there and get embarrassed, it was just fun from there,” says Evans.

He also states having fear is important. “If you go in there and you don’t have any fear, then you shouldn’t be fighting, because it’s that fear that keeps you sharp.”

Evans talks about winning the title against Forrest Griffin and then losing it to Lyoto Machida. “It was liberating,” he says about losing for the first time against Machida. “The minute I lost, all the pressure was lifted and then I could go on and fight and do what I wanted to do.”
Within the show, Evans also addresses leaving Greg Jackson’s fight camp, discusses what he did wrong in the Jon Jones fight and how important it is for him to win the championship belt back. “It’s the only thing we compete for.”

Looking back at his career, Rashad says he wouldn’t change anything that’s happened and it’s the love of fighting that fuels him. “Ultimately, you’ve got to love to fight, because loving to fight will take care of everything else you need in order to get to where you’ve got to be. You have to have perseverance and you have to have drive, but all of that stems from you loving it. If you love it then there’s no stopping you. Fighting saved my life. It gave me a focus and a purpose that I didn’t have before.”
