Rashid Magomedov will be fighting in Sao Paulo for the third time in his UFC career.

Coming off back-to-back wins in the state of Sao Paulo in 2014, the Russian lightweight will take on Gilbert Burns at the UFC Fight Night card scheduled for the Ibirapuera gymnasium on Nov. 7. Sources close to the situation told MMAFighting.com the bout is agreed to, but contracts have yet to be signed. Combate first reported the news.

Unbeaten under the UFC banner, Magomedov (18-1) has won all of his three wins inside the Octagon in 2014, including a decision victory over Rodrigo Damm and a late third-round TKO over Elias Silverio, both in Sao Paulo.

Burns (10-0) was scheduled to meet Norman Parke at UFN 67 on May 30, but was forced out due to an injury. Following a decision win in his UFC debut at 170 pounds, “Durinho” scored back-to-back submissions over Christos Giagos and Alex Oliveira as a lightweight.

Headlined by Vitor Belfort vs. Dan Henderson, UFC Fight Night 78 will also feature a lightweight clash between Gleison Tibau and Abel Trujillo.
