Ray Sefo isn’t just the promoter of the World Series of Fighting (WSOF). He’s also one of the fighters.

Sefo, 42, announced Monday on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani that in addition to his duties as President of WSOF, he’d be returning to the cage as a fighter for his organization’s fourth show on August 10th. That event is currently scheduled to take place at the Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif., and will also feature former UFC lightweight contender Tyson Griffin in a bout against an opponent to be determined.

While Sefo did not specifically state who his opponent would be at WSOF 4, it is likely to a fighter who was originally scheduled to compete at WSOF 3, but ultimately was unable to do so. That makes David Huckaba and Rolles Gracie the two most-likely candidates.

Sefo is 2-1 in professional MMA having last fought in 2011 in the first round of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix as part of the alternate bracket against Valentijn Overeem. He lost in the first round due to neck crank.

The New Zealand native had a decorated career as a kickboxer, earning a spot in the K-1 World Grand Prix finals and is a six-time Muay Thai world champion. He is also 5-1 in professional boxing.
