As part of the negotiations that helped to bring Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko to Strikeforce, M-1 Global makes their Showtime broadcast debut tonight with the M-1 Challenge XXIV: Damkovsky vs. Figueroa event. The live event takes place at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Virginia with the main card airing live at 11PM EST.
The M-1 Challenge event features two title bouts as lightweight champ Artiom Damkovsky (8-4) defends his title against American Top Team fighter Jose Figueroa (9-4), while middleweight fighters, M-1’s Magomed Sultanakhmedov (15-5) and Team Quest’s Tyson Jeffries (7-4), meet for the vacant 185 pound title.
