Just a reminder to all of our readers, the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be in Toronto on Tuesday, Feb. 8, with a press conference and free fan event at the Rogers Centre. The press conference kicks off at 1PM EST (10PM PST) and fans can watch it live online at UFCLive.com.
The free fan event, a Q&A and autograph session, begins at 5PM EST (2PM PST) at the Rogers Centre.
It’s all part of the UFC’s hype machine for UFC 129 which goes down in Toronto on April 30th.
Featured at the press conference will be UFC President Dana White, Director of Canadian Operations Tom Wright, UFC fighters Georges St-Pierre, Jose Aldo, Jake Shields, Mark Hominick, Claude Patrick and Sean Pierson.
Dana White, Tom Wright and Georges St-Pierre will be available for the Q&A session. While Jose Aldo, Jake Shields, Mark Hominick, Claude Patrick and Sean Pierson will sign autographs for the free fan event.
UFC 129 is headlined by a UFC welterweight title bout between Georges St-Pierre vs. top challenger Jake Shields. The co-main event sees UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo defend his new title for the first time against Canadian Mark Hominick, who earned the title shot with a win last month at UFC: Fight for the Troops 2.
Tickets for the event go on sale to the public this Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10AM EST (7AM PST), while UFC Fight Club members get their chance to buy tickets on Thursday, Feb. 10 at 10 AM EST, followed by UFC newsletter subscribers on Friday, Feb. 11 at 10 AM EST.
