Bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo will reportedly defend his title against Jose Aldo at UFC 250, in Sao Paulo.

It seems UFC 250 has a main event.

Per ESPN’s Brett Okamoto’s report on Twitter, bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo is set to defend his belt against former featherweight title holder Jose Aldo on the May 9 card, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Cejudo (15-2) extended his winning streak to five by.winning the vacant bantamweight belt when he TKO’d Marlon Moraes (15-2) back in June 2019. The 33-year-old’s last loss happened in December 2016, when he dropped a split decision to Joseph Benavidez.

Although he lost his last fight and bantamweight debut via split decision to he aforementioned Moraes back in December 2019, Jose Aldo (28-6) was still awarded a crack at Cejudo’s title. Currently on a two-fight skid, with a unanimous decision defeat to now featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski prior to the Moraes loss, the 33-year-old’s last win came in February 2019 when he TKO’d Renato Moicano.

So far, no co-main event has been officially announced, but the card features some well-known Brazilian fighters such as Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Mauricio Rua, and Fabricio Werdum.
