Former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz is reportedly slated to take on Pedro Munhoz on December 11.

Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz wants to get a win streak going for the first time in over five years.

Per MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz, the ‘Dominator’ has a match in the works against Pedro Munhoz, for the UFC 269 card on December 11.

In his most recent outing, Cruz (23-3) picked up a split decision win over Casey Kenney, at UFC 259 back in March. The victory snapped a two-fight losing skid for the 36-year-old, who had suffered defeats to Henry Cejudo and Cody Garbrandt, respectively in May 2020 and December 2016.

On the other side, Munhoz (19-6-1 NC) will look to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Jose Aldo, suffered in August. Before that, the 35-year-old had picked up his only win in his past four outings, a unanimous decision over Jimmie Rivera, back in February. This victory snapped a two-fight losing skid for Pedro, with defeats to Frankie Edgar and Aljamain Sterling.

Now, Cruz is expected to take on Munhoz at UFC 269. Charles Oliveira’s lightweight title fight with Dustin Poirier is targeted as the main event, with women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes taking on Julianna Pena, while men’s flyweight champion Brandon Moreno has a trilogy with Deiveson Figueiredo.
