Roughly two months after undergoing successful hand surgery, former UFC women’s featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie has booked her next fight. According to a report by Combate, “Iron Lady” will meet undefeated bantamweight prospect Ketlen Vieira at UFC Fight Night 125 on Feb. 3, 2018 from inside Arena Guilherme Paraense in Belem, Brazil.
De Randamie, 33, was stripped of her 145-pound title after defeating Holly Holm back at UFC 208 to claim it. The decorated striker will be making her move back down to bantamweight for her bout with Vieira, which will come nearly one year to the date after GDR punched her way past “Preacher’s Daughter” in Brooklyn, New York.
Vieira, 26, has produced a 3-0 record since making her promotional debut back in 2016 and is coming off a huge submission win over veteran contender Sara McMann. While Vieira represents the next wave of title contenders at 135 pounds, she’s going to have her work cut out for her against the bigger and longer de Randamie.
As of now, there are no other bouts officially booked for UFC’s first trip to Belem.
