A UFC middleweight bout between Anthony Hernandez and Rodolfo Vieira was moved from January 16 to February 13.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion Rodolfo Vieira will have to wait a little longer for his next Octagon outing.

Originally paired up against Anthony Hernandez for a middleweight bout at UFC Fight Island 7, on January 16, the decorated black belt had his fight postponed after Combate reported that ‘Fluffy’ tested positive for COVID-19, thus delaying the match for February 13.

Still undefeated in his mixed martial arts career, Rodolfo Vieira (7-0) scored two submission wins in his first Octagon outings, tapping out both Oskar Piechota and Saparbek Safarov via arm-triangle choke. Overall, the 30-year-old has six submission victories and one TKO on his record.

On the other side, Anthony Hernandez (7-2-1 NC) will look to even up his UFC record. After being finished by both Markus Perez and Kevin Holland, while picking up just one win, a submission victory over Jun Yong Park, in August 2019. Back in May, the 27-year-old was TKO’d by the rising Holland.

Now, Rodolfo Vieira is expected to take on Anthony Hernandez at UFC 258, on February 13, in a location yet to be determined. The card is expected to be headlined by a welterweight title fight between the champion, Kamaru Usman, and top contender Gilbert Burns.
