An exciting featherweight fight will headline a Fight Island card on July 15th.

Both coming off of recent wins, Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige are set to meet on July 15th to headline a UFC Fight Night on “Fight Island.”

ESPN reported the matchup, though the UFC has not yet confirmed the fight. Kattar has also signed a new multi-fight deal with the UFC. The event on July 15th will be the second of four upcoming events to take place on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

Kattar (21-4) has become a top contender at 145-pounds after winning five of his last seven UFC fights. “The Boston Finisher” stopped UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens at UFC 249 in May. Other than losses to Zabit Magomedsharipov and Renato Moicano, Kattar has defeated the likes of Ricardo Lamas and Andre Fili during his three years in the UFC.

Ige (14-2) has quickly gone from appearing on the prelims to headlining his first-ever UFC event. The 28-year-old Hawaiian found himself on the receiving end of a controversial and extremely close split decision win against Edson Barboza in May. Undefeated since January 2018, Ige has won his last six UFC fights.

UFC on ESPN+ 30 takes place on July 15th in Abu Dhabi. Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar is set to make his bantamweight debut on the card against Pedro Munhoz in the co-main event.
