Roy Jones Jr will rake in approximately $3 million.
Mike Tyson and Roy Jones made plenty of coin during their respective professional boxing careers, and their purses for Saturday’s exhibition are also hefty.
Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole reported that the two former heavyweight champions (well… Roy was a four-division champ and heavyweight is not the part that represents his career pinnacle) will have a combined purse of about $13 million. Tyson would get the lion’s share while Roy gets about $3 million.
Hearing that Tyson will make $10 million and Roy Jones +/- $3 million for their exhibition Saturday.

These two have obviously commanded larger purses than that… and in actual relevant bouts and not this exhibition, but that’s still quite a bit of money that certainly explains why this is a $50 PPV. It’s been said by Tyson before that he intends to donate his purse to charitable causes.
The rest of the card will presumably be revealed either on fight day or post-fight, as the California State Athletic Commission does still release purses publicly. Outside of Nate Robinson and Jake Paul (and maybe Badou Jack), the rest of the card should be quite low on the pay scale.
Tyson vs. Jones Jr airs live on Fite.tv at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT.
