It looks like a Tuesday Night Contender Series fighter is going to get a tough test for his UFC debut.

Uriah Hall hasn’t had the best results in the Octagon over the last few years. So it looks like the UFC is willing to put a Contender Series fighter in there with him to see where he’s at. According to a report from BJPenn.com, the UFC is looking at booking Hall against recent contract winner Bevon Lewis at UFC 232 in December.

Hall (12-9, 6-7 UFC) is currently ranked as the number 13 contender at middleweight. However he has lost four out of his last five fights, most recently getting stopped by Paulo Costa in July. The two time performance bonus winner and TUF finalist’s only win in his last five was a TKO victory over Krzysztof Jotko in September 2017.

Lewis (6-0, 0-0 UFC) picked up a TKO victory on the first season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, but didn’t earn a contract for it. He came back in season two and stopped Alton Cunningham with knees in the first round, and was given a UFC deal due to that performance. The undefeated 27-year-old Georgia native has three TKOs and three decision wins in his six pro bouts to date.

UFC 232 goes down December 29th in Las Vegas and is expected to be headlined by a women’s superfight between featherweight champ Cris Cyborg and bantamweight champ Amanda Nunes.
