The reshuffling of the now cancelled UFC 151 card continues as the Ultimate Fighting Championship promotion moves more bouts to upcoming cards.
This time, UFC officials have moved a pair of matches to the upcoming UFC on FX 5 card adding a pair of lightweight matches featuring Danny ‘Last Call’ Castillo (14-4) vs. Michael ‘The Menace’ Johnson (11-6) and Shane Roller (11-6) vs. Jacob ‘Christmas’ Volkmann ( 14-3).
UFC on FX: Browne vs. Bigfoot is expected to take place on October 5 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Castillo has won three straight and is 6-1 in his last seven. He earned a decision over John Cholish this past May at UFC on FOX 3. The other two victories include a split decision against Anthony Njokuani at UFC 141 and a first round TKO win against Shamar Bailey at UFC 139.
Johnson is 3-1 in his last four with decision victories against Tony Ferguson, at UFC on FOX 3, and Shane Roller, at UFC on FOX 2. The loss came in October of last year to Paul Sass, who used an inverted heel hook to end things in the first round.
Roller ended a three fight losing streak last month with his first victory in over a year by defeating John Alessio by decision at UFC 148. His previous losses were against Johnson, TJ Grant and Melvin Guillard.
Volkmann had a five fight run stopped by Sass this past May, after tapping out due to triangle armbar versus the Brit at UFC 146. ‘Christmas’ had won five decision victories versus such opponents as Efrain Escudero, Castillo, Antonio McKee, Paul Kelly and Ronys Torres.
