MMA Junkie has the full details, including what top prospects MMA fans can expect to see.
RFA 7’s main event is scheduled to be a match up between Leandro Silva and Brandon Thatch. Silva is a Blackhouse team member who recently saw an impressive 9-1 streak snapped with a recent decision loss. Thatch has won seven-straight fights, all before hearing the final bell.
Fireworks are guaranteed when Chidi Njokuani faces Jeremy Kimball in the evening’s co-main event. Njokuani is widely thought to be one of the best young prospects in MMA and is the younger brother of former WEC-standout Anthony Njokuani.
Also featured on the card is another rising prospect with an older brother in the UFC. Sergio Pettis will look to remain undefeated as he faces Matt Manzanares. Pettis has set the MMA world on fire with discussions of how the younger Pettis would fare in the Octagon.
The winner is expected to receive a featherweight title shot in the RFA.
Former NFL player Demetrin Leandro Veal will be making his second trip to a MMA cage at RFA 7. Veal was drafted out of the University of Tennessee by the Atlanta Falcons in 2003, but bounced around from team to team during his NFL career.
Veal earned a victory in his professional MMA debut by stopping Chad Wicks via first round knockout back in June 2012. The event will broadcast on AXYS TV.
