Joe Rogan can breathe a sigh of relief, as he no longer has to look over his shoulder this week in Chicago in anticipation of Colby Covington stepping to him and giving him a good old tongue-lashing and perhaps a slap.

Indeed, “Chaos” wasn’t too pleased when he caught wind of Rogan’s advice telling the Welterweight standout to keep his mouth closed when it comes to Jon Jones to avoid a beatdown from the former Light Heavyweight champion.

But since Colby is in such a good mood ahead of his interim Welterweight title fight against Rafael dos Anjos at this weekend’s (Sat., June 9, 2018) UFC 225 event which will net him a lot of money, he has decided to give the longtime UFC commentator a pass.

“I’ve decided to let things go with Joe. I decided to give him a pass. I’m feeling good, I’m in the spirit,” said Colby on a recent appearance on UFC Tonight. “It’s title fight week, I’m about to make a lot of money with more zeroes to my paycheck, so I am feeling good. I’m going to give Joe a pass.”

All bark and no bite?

Still, should “Chaos” prove victorious, all eyes will be on his post-fight victory speech — which is always conducted by Rogan — despite the fact that Covington just let the funny man off the hook.

Nevertheless, Covington will now set his full attention on trying to win his first-ever piece of ufc gold in hopes of locking down his much-desired championship bout against his bitter rival and current division champion Tyron Woodley.
