UFC light-heavyweight Antônio Rogério “Lil Nog” Nogueira (19-4) was stopped by Ryan Bader in his last octagon appearance, the loss hasn’t deterred the Brazilians will to fight again as he hopes to face an opponent soon.
“I just stopped for a week and I’m already back to the trainings… I can’t wait to fight again. There are some speculations on the internet, but there’s nothing confirmed by (UFC). Shogun will win (against Rashad Evans). I think Shogun is more aggressive, makes great presentations, so I’ll cheer for him and I believe he’ll win. I hope that Lyoto wins on a bout against “Rampage” Jackson, he moves a lot, so I believe he’ll win this fight. He’s well trained. It’ll be a really tough bout (Ryan Bader vs. Jon Jones)… Whoever takes the other down first will have an advantage. The game plan will count a lot.”
Nogueira lost a unanimous decision to Bader at UFC 119, ending a seven fight win streak as well as preventing the Brazilian from earning a third straight “Fight Night” award. “Lil Nog” earned A “Fight of the Night” award after beating Jason Brilz via split decision at UFC 114, and a “Knockout of the Night” in his UFC debut after KOing Luiz Arthur Cane at UFC 106.
