Bellator 220: “MacDonald vs Fitch” took place this past weekend (Sat., April 27, 2019) at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., with ‘Red King” putting his Welterweight title on the line against Jon Fitch in the DAZN-streamed main event of the evening.

It was also an opening round fight of the promotion’s Welterweight Grand Prix.

After five rounds of back-and-forth action, the fight ended in a draw, though Rory got to keep his title and advance to the next round. He also scored the biggest check of the night, raking in a cool $200,000 (via MMA Junkie). Not to be left out in the cold, Fitch collected a nice $140,000 payout in guaranteed money.

That’s a $50,000 increase for Rory, who took in $150,000 for his fight agaisnt Gegard Mousasi last October. Here are the rest of the payouts:

After the the fight, Rory admitted he no longer had the desire to hurt people, which is why he couldn’t pull the trigger. That revelation has now put in doubt his upcoming bout against Neiman Gracie, which is set for Bellator 222 on June 14, 2019.
