In case you already welched on your New Year’s resolution — that garbage you tell yourself every January about losing weight and getting in shape — here’s a random pic of Rory MacDonald looking stacked and jacked to help re-motivate you.

“Red King” (21-6-1) is preparing to make his PFL debut later this year, part of a $1 million welterweight tournament that includes rough-and-tumble veterans like Ray Cooper III and Magomed Magomedov, among others.

“I plan on doing some of my best fights in PFL in the next couple of years while I’m with them, but you never know what’s going to happen after that,” the 31-year-old MacDonald said during his recent fan Q&A (transcribed by Adam Martin). “My upcoming fight is April 29 in, wait, I don’t know where it is yet, but April 29 I believe. That will be will be my first round of the PFL regular season.”

MacDonald (21-6-1) has not competed since his unanimous decision loss to Douglas Lima at the Bellator 232 event back in Oct. 2019. “Red King” is 3-3-1 since his epic “Fight of the Year” against then-UFC champion Robbie Lawler back in late 2015.
